Sacred Sedona

Sacred Sedona

May 14, 20222 min read

I took a solo road trip cross-country from Florida to Arizona. It took me four days of driving at 7 to 9 hours a day and then some. This was not any road trip, this was THE road experience of a lifetime, you know? Like that movie with Julia Roberts where she travels across the world to find herself? This was that type of trip!

Many people are surprised at me for taking this trip by myself. I got to be honest with you, I just refuse to live in fear. I am tired of the idea that women should not travel alone. My first time taking a solo trip to Mexico City my mother almost cried bloody murder, I however ignored the nagging voices from my family and instead chose to listen to my inner guidance. I didn't regret it then and I didn't regret it now.

After experiencing years of spiritual awakening, and most recently the one and only pandemic of the millennia, I felt this was my graduation, this was my opportunity to do that thing I always wanted to do but never got around to.

I just went for it, I booked lodging, I packed my bags, my drum, and my crystals and I headed over to a road trip that helped me remember who I really am.

Coming from a reality of being surrounded by water and then experiencing the feeling of dry desert thirst, dry skin, and parched lips, I was able to recognize the magical essence that exists in the natural bodies of water that exist there. The exposure to the arid desert makes us appreciate water on a deeper level.

I learned that the desert is loving, and one must not judge the book by its covers. I discovered that there are places within it that not only provide safe havens to animals, people, and flora but also possess an intrinsic spiritual element.

I was introduced by some fellow soul sisters to the magic of this wonderland I specifically recall two special places in Sedona, one is where I felt called to charge my crystals and bathe in this vortex of transformative energy and the other I discovered on my own while wondering in the neighborhood of my wonderful Airbnb host. There was a trail there filled with glittery rocks and Goddess energy that when able to expose ourselves with an open heart to the energy of this trail, we experience the magic of transmutation, release, and transformation, my spiritual name was given to me by my Spirit Guides on this trail and it holds a special place in my heart.

After 2 weeks of powerful experiences, back to back, I came back to Florida renewed and quite literally like a new person.

I am forever grateful to Spirit for the guidance it provides and the opportunities given to be able to take this sacred trip.

With Love,
